CEO Update

Difficult times for most just now, but good to see how many people in Carnforth and the surrounding areas have been getting the physical and mental benefits of using the Swimming Pool, and having youngsters from 21 schools learning to swim, is brilliant.

Winter gas and electricity costs were of concern, but we are locked into a very reasonable gas supply contract until 2025, and that which was a market tracker for electricity, has is being reduced by government provisions from 1st October 2022 for six months, so we are feeling more relaxed.

We are therefore financially stable with the most recent pricing structure, so do come and enjoy all of the various activities organised by experienced and in my view, rather exceptional  staff.

I am also pleased to report that we received Planning Permission on the  6th of  October,  to extend the West gable end of the building for a viewing area and coffee shop upstairs that will double as a staff training/lecture room, and desperately needed storage, plus more toilets downstairs. There is some fund raising to do both locally and from the larger funding organisations, so a steady pace and shall keep you informed.
